Hackatime Setup Guide

Step 1: Sign In

  1. Go to hackatime.hackclub.com
  2. Click the Sign in with your Hack Club account button

  1. Click Authorize to grant permissions

Step 2: Terminal Setup

  1. Copy the command displayed on your webpage
  2. Paste it into your terminal and run it
  3. Go back to the Hackatime webpage

Step 3: Editor Selection

  1. Once the website lets you proceed, go to the second setup step
  2. Select your editor (this tutorial uses VS Code as an example)

Step 4: Installing the WakaTime Extension

Download the WakaTime extension for your selected editor

  1. Open your editor (VS Code in this example)
  2. Find and click the Extensions icon in the sidebar

  1. Search for "wakatime" in the search bar

  1. Click on the first result and click Install

  1. Start coding! After a few minutes, you should see a timer appear on the bottom toolbar

Step 5: Complete Setup

  1. Go back to the Hackatime website and proceed to the next step
  2. Check the I agree I understand the rules box
  3. Click the Done button

Töltsd le a WakaTime bővítményt a kiválasztott szerkesztődhöz

  2. Keresd meg és kattints a Bővítmények ikonra az oldalsávban

5. lépés: Beállítás Befejezése

  1. Térj vissza a Hackatime weboldalra és lépj tovább a következő lépésre
  2. Jelöld be a Megértettem és elfogadom a szabályokat jelölőnégyzetet
  3. Kattints a Done gombra
